The man lost control of his eastbound SUV, leaving the roadway and rolling over several times. The vehicle came to rest down an embankment, near the back yard of a house on neighbouring MacLeod Place, and roughly 80 metres from where it had left the road.
Crews needed to use the jaws of life to get the man out of the vehicle, however he was uninjured. Police say the outcome could have been much worse had the driver not been wearing a seat belt.
The man was brought back to the detachment and charged. He has been released to appear in court at a later date.
