The Premier shared a heartfelt message on Tuesday, encouraging people to pick up the phone and call someone.
Premier Dwight Ball says while FaceTime, Skype and Zoom are all wonderful tools, it’s important not to forget about that simple phone.
There are many seniors in the province who are living alone, do not use technology and have been cut off during the pandemic as they are not able to sit at the kitchen table, have a tea or coffee and chat with family and friends.

The Premier says it would be really nice for those people to hear a familiar voice. Pick up the phone and call someone that has left an impression on you, someone on your street, a family member or someone you haven’t talked to in a while, and let them know you’re thinking about them.
Ball says we must never forget the ability to communicate by phone.
He believes it’s the little things in life that people cherish the most, and that sometimes have the deepest and most meaningful impact.
