A local musician and postal worker has penned a parody song after noticing a common activity in metro area neighbourhoods over the last few weeks.
Many are taking to their lawns, still buried under the remnants of Snowmageddon, with shovel in hand to help hasten the spring melting process.
Andrew LeDrew put his thoughts on lawn shoveling to the tune of the classic “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tommy James and the Shondells.
“Look at the way he goes chopping at the snow – through pandemic days, he is bored out of his skull and he’s shoveling just as fast as he can…”
LeDrew says he couldn’t help himself. Everywhere he goes on his route, people are shoveling their lawns. It’s a phenomenon which struck him as funny.
