The RCMP traced an IP address used to download child pornography to a home in Kilbride where 52-year-old Thomas Patrick O’Grady was living in 2016.
Those details were heard yesterday at O’Grady’s child pornography trial in St. John’s Provincial Court.
RCMP Corporal Ann Noel says on November 26, 2016, a cyber tip report was received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It reported seven images had been downloaded from a Yahoo! account, and were believed to be child pornography.
Cpl. Noel testified in court that the IP address used was traced to a home on Skanes Avenue in St. John’s. This is where O’Grady was living with his girlfriend, her parents, and her son.
The officer classified five of the seven images as child pornography. She returns to the stand today.
