It’s now been a week since the province recorded any confirmed cases of COVID-19.
7,134 people have been tested for the virus. 207 of the province’s 256 confirmed cases have recovered, five are in hospital—two of whom are in ICU.
Three people have died due to complications from COVID-19.
The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald urged people to abide by continued public health guidelines to control the spread of the illness.
Dr. Fitzgerald issued a new public health directive today.
Starting Monday, employers who bring workers into the province from elsewhere must provide government officials with a 14-day isolation plan.
