A locally owned and operated company has donated 1,450 scrubs valued at $30,000 to frontline workers with Eastern Health to help with the demand during the pandemic.
VP of Mark’s Work Warehouse East Coast, Sarah Deer says the company wanted to do something to give back to the community and especially help their regular customers at this time.
Deer says health care workers are a regular customer to the stores so donating to Eastern Health made sense.
She says scrubs are in high demand right now due to COVID-19 as workers are having to change after every procedure.
The scrubs were sent to central laundry in Pleasantville and now the company has been working with the Health Care Foundation to ensure the scrubs are distributed to workers.
