Planning is underway into how and when to slowly start relaxing public health restrictions in the province, with no new cases of COVID-19 reported today.
There were two new cases reported in the province over the weekend, both in the Eastern Health region.
The two new cases came following a full week without any new confirmed cases in the province.

There are 258 confirmed cases in Newfoundland and Labrador. 221 people have recovered, while five are in hospital – two of whom are in ICU. Three people have died from COVID-related complications.
7,662 people have been tested for the virus.
Health Minister John Haggie says a resumption of elective surgeries and procedures is “top of mind” for the province’s regional health authorities, but he was unable to provide any more detail on when those decisions will be made.
