A long-running folk festival on the province’s west coast is using local tools to put off the festival for the 14th straight year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Trails Tales Tunes Festival will be going ahead from May 15 to 24, just in a different format.
For ten days, Trails Tales Tunes will be partnering with a local radio station, Voice of Bonne Bay—95.9 and 98.1 FM—to put off nightly concerts on the radio and live on Facebook, featuring brand new live performances and stories, and recordings of some of the best Trails Tales Tunes performances over the past 14 years.
People will still be able to tune in to live songwriters circles, live storytelling circles, and more, featuring some of the regular festival voices.
More information on scheduling is still to come.
