Health Minister John Haggie says it’s become apparent that travelers entering the province are not abiding by provincial directives to self-isolate and practice social distancing.
Bonavista Mayor John Norman is calling for clear directives when it comes to people who are coming here to see the sights.
Haggie admits that more clarity is needed. He states that the province is working on a clear solution that is not too prohibitive, with the assumption that people would play by the rules.
Haggie says what’s become obvious that some people are not following public health requirements.
As an example, he says looking for a boat to take you to see an iceberg is not essential travel.
