A 35-year-old man spent the night in the lockup after leaving the scene of an accident on Saturday evening.
RNC responded to reports of a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Paradise at 4:30 p.m. One of the vehicles involved in the accident had left the scene.
Police located the man a short time later in the Conception Bay South area, and a 35-year-old man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and flight from police.
The other driver involved who remained at the scene was sent to the hospital for observation.
