Heavy rain resulted in some flooding in the capital city last night.
Video recorded on the Southside Road shows a significant amount of water in the area of the dockyard.
25.7 mm was recorded at St. John’s Airport yesterday, but the west end saw 26.5 mm. That’s still far below the 42.8 mm recorded on yesterday’s date in 1980.
Rivers became torrents as meltwater from remaining snow added to the amounts of water making its way down over the Southside Hills.
