The province is preparing for the first baby steps in easing public health restrictions, and that includes the expansion of daycare operations as some Newfoundlanders and Labradorians get ready to return to work.
The Chief Medical Officer says if all goes well, the province will shift to Alert Level Four on Monday.
That will see the reopening of some non-essential businesses like finance and legal offices, and garden centres. It also means more families will require child care services.
Education Minister Brian Warr says daycare centres are ready.
Child care centres will increase from five to ten people per home room, including children and staff.
