The when and how of reopening post-secondary institutions is still being debated, says the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says how classes and labs are taught, as well as class size, all vary in post-secondary schools and will require careful consideration.
She says the decision relies on the evidence before them, and the epidemiology across the country and in the province.
For now, Fitzgerald says, any learning that has to happen in post-secondary should be done online, but she recognizes that some programs will require hands-on teaching.
