Mundy Pond Park is about to get a whole lot brighter with a million dollar playground structure.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities has announced plans to build a universally accessible playground in the area that is home to a softball field, skate park, dog park and soccer pitch.
Danny Breen, Mayor of St. John’s, says the playground is an asset to the community and will allow children of all ages and abilities to play together.
The 11,000 square foot playground will be installed next summer.
