Woodward’s oil has announced that the first oil tanker of the season will arrive in Goose Bay this weekend.
The company has advised the Public Utilities Board that the price of fuel in the region will return to a floating price.
Company president and CEO Peter Woodward says they understand the impact that the price increase of a month ago had on their customers, but they are now guaranteeing a stable fuel supply for the region.
Under the current system, Woodward’s Oil buys fuel in late November and delivers it to central Labrador by marine tanker. The company says this ensures a stable supply for winter.
The selling price in Labrador is subject to weekly variations set by the PUB.
