Heritage NL is looking for the “hidden gems” of Newfoundland traditions in the Baccalieu Trail region.
A hidden gem could be a storyteller, musician, berry-picker, hooked mat maker, carver, knitter, guide or craft producer.
Folklorist Dale Jarvis says they are eager to learn about the variety of traditional skills in the area. He says the project is part of Memorial University’s Thriving Regions Partnership Process.
The official project launch takes place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with a Facebook Live on the Heritage NL Facebook page.
