There will be a recreational cod fishery this year for a total of 39 days.
There is no requirement for licences or tags, and the groundfish fishery will be open to both residents and non-residents.
The summer season starts the weekend of July 4 and continues on each weekend through to Labour Day. The fall season lasts for nine days from September 26 to October 4.
Fishing is not permitted in the Eastport, Gilbert Bay and Laurentian Channel Marine Protected Areas.
