Two men from St. John’s have been convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with an extensive police operation two years ago.
Brandon Glasco, 21, and John Squires, 36, were arrested and charged in late August, 2018, as part of Operation B-Tarantula under the former Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.
Local RCMP and RNC were aided in their investigation by RCMP in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and the York Regional Police.
The two men appeared in Provincial Court last week, where they were convicted of the charges.
Another man, 28-year-old Dustin Etheridge, had already pleaded guilty. All three men will be sentenced at a later date.
