A 70-year-old man from Harbour Grace is facing a charge of drunk driving after colliding with the barrier surrounding propane tanks at a local gas station on the weekend.

The incident happened at about 5:00 in the afternoon.

RCMP say there was an open container of alcohol in the cupholder.

The driver, who will appear in court later, blew nearly twice the legal limit.

The vehicle was impounded.
