No additional charges have yet been laid in connection with a lengthy police operation on Cowperthwaite Court in St. John’s Friday.
45-year-old Paul Hennebury was taken into custody without incident just before midnight Friday after initially refusing to come out of a neighbourhood residence.
Police were called to the area around 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon to a report of a wanted man. They cordoned off the area and asked area residents to stay in their homes.
Hennebury was arrested and charged a week earlier in connection with shots fired in the same area. That incident ended dramatically with a car crash in the Dildo area. A 29-year-old woman was also charged in connection with the investigation.
RNC say Hennebury was arrested Friday on a warrant and court breach. No additional charges have yet been laid in connection with the second incident.
