Some quick action from workers prevented a dump truck fire from escalating this morning in Grand Falls-Windsor. That, according to Fire Chief Vince MacKenzie.
Firefighters rushed to the scene of a vehicle fire at a construction company in the town at around 8:30.
Thick clouds of smoke were billowing from a dump truck which burst into flames in a gravel lot.
A fuel truck, which was parked next to the dump truck, was quickly moved to a safe distance away by workers.
Chief MacKenzie says the fire was quickly brought under control. There were no injuries.
