Emergency vehicles have cleared the scene of a vehicle fire near Paradise.
A black truck, belonging to retired RCMP officer, Boyd Merrill, caught fire while he was on his way to an event with the Positive Thinkers Club.

Merrill says within seconds of lifting his hood, the flames shot up, so he notified police.

Merrill was unharmed by the blaze, but the truck was destroyed.
