Crews in Grand Falls-Windsor made quick work of a pickup truck that caught fire on the Trans Canada yesterday evening.
The truck went up in flames near the Union Street overpass, forcing the temporary shutdown of eastbound lanes while firefighters got a handle on the situation.
The driver had disconnected a trailer from the truck before crews arrived, preventing any additional damage.
There were no injuries.
