RCMP say one man died in a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Grand Falls-Windsor Thursday morning.
The crash between a commercial truck and a van occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m., a couple of kilometres east of the town.
Police say the van crossed over the centre line and collided with the oncoming truck.
The driver of the van, a 33-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, while the driver of the truck was not physically hurt.
It’s not clear whether the victim was wearing a seatbelt.
