This is Black History Month, and the Association for New Canadians is launching what they’re calling a virtual celebration highlighting what it’s like to be Black in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Association’s advisor for Black-centric programming, Barb Walsh, hosts the one-hour program, which features Black advocates, entrepreneurs, and artists.
As well, two segments from the association’s IDEAS event last fall will be shown, which focuses on “resume whitening” and slavery in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The video goes live on the Association’s YouTube channel tomorrow at 1p.m.
