The provincial government has secured a multi-year partnership agreement with NASCAR.
The partnership will see three Pinty’s Series races held at Easbound International Speedway and Concert Park in Avondale over the next three years.
The first NASCAR Pinty’s Series Race, the PRO-LINE 225, will take place on June 25th. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 15th at noon.
The week leading up to the first race will be NASCAR Week with a series of family-friendly activities and events including a NASCAR vehicle parade from Argentia to Avondale.

The events are expected to attract close to 10,000 spectators.
The province is contributing some $600,000 over three years in funding. Premier Andrew Furey says the returns are expected to be significant.
He says they’ll be in the range of $5.4-million.
Newfoundland and Labrador is only the fifth province in Canada to host a NASCAR race.
