A Newfoundland physician who has been providing virtual medical services for some time through Medicuro, is pleased that the provincial government called on him to help provide service to the Baie Verte Peninsula area.

Dr. Todd Young was part of an announcement made today in the district Baie Verte-Green Bay, which is in the midst of a byelection.

Young told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that he’s pleased to be part of expanding medical service in the area.

“The Department of Health has asked for our assistance in trying to bring back some services for the people of LaScie and the Baie Verte Peninsula through a virtual platform including Medicuro.”

The Triton Clinic is also reopening for once a week after being closed since before the pandemic.
