It’s the Victoria Day holiday, commonly known as the 24th of May, and that means all federal, provincial and municipal government offices are closed.
It’s also a shops closing day, meaning stores are also closed, and paid parking will not be enforced in the capital city.
In St. John’s, public washrooms will remain open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park and Quidi Vidi, while street cleaning operations are going ahead as scheduled tonight.
