A 66-year-old man has been arrested and charged after police say a young person was sexually assaulted in St. John’s.
The RNC were first called about the situation on Monday. They allege the man approached the young person in the area of Topsail Road, near Columbus Drive.
The man was later arrested and has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference .
He has been released on conditions and is due back in court at a later date.
