The Official Opposition isn’t pleased with the proposed scope of a review of investigations into a historical sexual violence case.
Premier Andrew Furey announced the review last week, which will be done by the Child and Youth Advocate and her office.
They will be looking into reports and other incidents related to the Tony Humby and Bruce Escott case.
Tony Wakeham made the initial call for the investigation, but says news that it will only cover the Department of Children, Seniors, and Social Development doesn’t go far enough.
He says there needs to be a “complete review” including police files, and group homes, and vacancies for social work positions.
