A walk in the park this week turned out to be anything but a usual stroll with the dogs.
Trevor Porter, who’s from Porterville in Central Newfoundland, was startled when he and his two Great Danes took to the woods of Pippy Park on Wednesday and encountered a moose cow and calf.
Porter says at first the animals stared each other down with little reaction from either.
Then the female dog retreated but the male decided to move in for a closer look.
After a bit of playing a game of canine and cow, all went on their merry way, but Porter says it was an interesting way to kill some time.
He says the dog and cow stared at each other for the longest time and didn’t know what to make of each other.
