The Town of Clarenville has hired a new Economic Development Officer to help guide business development in the town and surrounding area.
Colin Holloway, a former MHA for the area, officially began his new role in Clarenville on December 5.
Holloway will work with the Economic Development and Tourism and Communications Committee of council. The town says he will work with local businesses and the Legendary Coast Destination Management Organization as part of the town’s Strategic Tourism Expansion Program.
Part of that work will focus on expanding opportunities surrounding the White Hills Ski Resort, the Clarenville Nordic Ski Club and the local Farm and Market.
