Rowing season kicks off tomorrow, but not without a couple of hiccups.
The Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee is asking rowers to arrive at the lake a little early because of limited parking due to ongoing construction around the Boathouse.
Vice President and Captain of the Course for the Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee, Bradley Power, says they’re putting safety first. He says parking will be an issue and it will take extra time to get to the building. They want to make sure people get there safely and are not rushing.
Power says people should arrive 30-35 minutes before their scheduled spin in order to get to their boat on time.
Power says parking will be available on the southside of Clancey Drive, and spaces are available behind the Boathouse. They encourage people to carpool where possible to help the environment along the way.
From tomorrow to May 10th, boats will be available from 11:50 a.m. to 7:25 p.m.
