Crews responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Logy Bay Road and Newfoundland Drive in St. John’s, during the lunch hour.
Traffic backed up in the area, as emergency crews blocked off a portion of Logy Bay Road, only allowing access to Newfoundland Drive.
An SUV veered off the road, coming to a rest in a nearby cluster of trees. While a car, which sustained significant damage to its front, came to rest in the middle of the intersection.
There is no official word on injuries. However, at least one person was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be not serious in nature.
