The City of St. John’s, Memorial University and Newfoundland Kinesiology Association are gearing up for National Health and Fitness Day next Sunday.
National Health and Fitness Day is a day to get out and get active, according to the City of St. John’s.
Youth and adults are invited to a day of events taking place across the city. Some events include swimming, a foam rolling workshop and cycling.
The walking/running trail at the Field House at The Works, MUN, will be free for the entire day.
Other events scheduled for National Health and Fitness Day include:

Talk and Run at the Running Room, 9 Rowan Street.
Cycle Fit Class at the Ches Penney Family YMCA, 35 Ridge Road .
9 a.m. to noon
PLAY (Physical Literacy for All Youth) at the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation, Memorial University.
Conditioning Room Access at the Ches Penney Family YMCA, 35 Ridge Road.
10 a.m.
CrossFit Class at CrossFit 709, 92 Elizabeth Avenue.
11 a.m.
Women’s Only Beginner Bootcamp Class at EmpowHer Fitness, 15 Hebron Way, Suite 202.
Step Class at the Field House, Memorial University.
Fitness Class at A Fitness, 207 Lemarchant Road.
Noon
Foam Rolling Workshop at KinesioMassage Therapy & Training, 446 Newfoundland Drive.
Spin class at Bespoke Cycle, 65 White Rose Drive.
