The Mayor of Grand Falls-Windsor says he is saddened, but undeterred, by an act of vandalism targeting a symbol of inclusion in the town.

Barry Manuel says the town’s rainbow crosswalk was repainted last week after a long winter in advance of Pride Month, but was damaged just a few days later.

Manuel says crews have since fixed the damage.

He says the town is committed to inclusion, and they won’t be deterred.
