Furrever Young is a local charity that matches elderly pets with new homes.
They’re hosting a fundraiser this Saturday at Pet Valu on White Rose Drive in the capital city’s east end, featuring DNA tests for dogs.
Tina Chafe with Furrever Young says it’s meant to be a bit of fun and could show some interesting results.
She says in one case someone found out their little dog was actually part Newfoundland.
The event takes place from 12 to 4 at Pet Valu on White Rose Drive this Saturday.
