A small electrical fire closed the Sobeys on Ropewalk Lane in St. John’s for a short time this morning.
The fire alarm sounded in the grocery store just after 9:30 a.m.

St. John’s Regional Fire Department and the RNC responded to the scene, and found the cause to be a small electrical fire in one of the coolers.
There were no injuries and the store has since reopened.
