The Federal election is only a week away, and the latest information from Abacus Data suggests it is going to be a very close race.
The latest poll was conducted after the English language debate and before the french language debate.
It shows the Liberals and Tories are tied for the majority of popular support at 32 per cent apiece.
The NDP hold 18 per cent support, the Green Party sits at nine per cent, the Bloc Quebecois holds 6 per cent support, and the People’s Party has two per cent support nationally.
While the NDP are currently third in the polls, leader Jagmeet Singh’s popularity has been surging ever since the debate.
The leader’s positive public impression is up nine points since October 5, currently sitting at 41 per cent.
Justin Trudeau is at 33 per cent, Andrew Scheer sits at 30 per cent, and Elizabeth May holds a positive impression among 26 per cent of those asked.
Data was not given on impressions for PPC Leader Maxime Bernier and Bloc Quebecois leader Yves-Francois Blanchet.
The survey was conducted online from October 8 to 10 with a random sample 3,000 Canadians 18 and over. The margin and error is +/- 1.9 per cent 19 times out of 20.
