The City of Mount Pearl’s Chief Administrative Officer says he’s happy to cooperate with a personnel process currently underway.

Steve Kent tells VOCM News that given that the process is ongoing and is what he calls an “internal HR matter” he does not feel it is “appropriate or respectful” to comment further at this time.

Kent announced earlier this month via social media that he was taking a temporary leave of absence from his position as the city’s top bureaucrat to deal with what he called a personal matter.

Mayor Dave Aker declined comment on the matter earlier this month.
