Northern Harvest says all the dead fish have been removed from cages in Fortune Bay, affected by a massive die-off over the summer.
The removal was completed on Friday.
Some 2.6-million fish died due to prolonged warm temperatures that caused the cage fish to congregate in the bottom of the pens. The fish suffocated.
The provincial government was notified in early September, but the incident was not publicly revealed outside the south coast area until the FFAW raised concerns in a release issued September 23rd.
