Husky Energy is contributing just over $1-million to create a new centre at Memorial University to bring expertise on sales and supply chain management to the province.
The Husky Centre of Excellence in Sales and Supply Chain Management will be located in the MUN Business building.
Of the $1-million, $600,000 will go towards setting up the centre and getting it started and around $420,000 over three years towards work terms for business students.
The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is contributing $350,000.

It is not just for students. Local businesses can turn to the centre for expertise as well.

The manager of the new centre, Sarah Tao, says although the centre is located in the university, it is not just for students.
She says they welcome local business who need help with their supply chain management capabilities. They are more than happy to help.
