The RCMP is reminding the public to be vigilant if you must drive in snow storms, after two separate collisions during Sunday’s brief storm.
Holyrood RCMP are investigating two separate collisions, that occurred just minutes apart on the Witless Bay Line on Sunday.
In the late afternoon, police responded to two, two-vehicle collisions. Roads were slippery and there were white out conditions, resulting in zero visibility at times.
The RCMP reminds the public to be vigilant if you must drive in snow storms – reduce speed, be prepared to stop suddenly, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, turn the lights on and ensure everyone is wearing a seatbelt.
If at all possible, stay home until conditions improve.
The investigation into the collisions is ongoing.
