Gander RCMP have charged a man following a video that circulated over social media involving a truck allegedly chasing a moose.

A 25-year-old Gander man is facing a charge under the Provincial Wildlife Act for harassing big game.

Gander RCMP received a number of complaints from concerned citizens. Two men ended up turning themselves in at the detachment identifying themselves as being the two men on the video.

The driver is scheduled to attend court on April 14.

The investigation is continuing and police are considering possible charges that could apply to the passenger of the vehicle.
