Officials are urging drivers to use caution on the Trans-Canada Highway due to whiteout conditions in the area between Route 75 and Whitbourne.
First responders were called to a collision near the Long Harbour turnoff early this afternoon.
Whitbourne Volunteer Fire Chief Jamie Budden says one person was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Budden says they have almost fully cleared the scene, but they’re asking drivers to take things slow due to snow squalls causing whiteout conditions.
