The provincial government is seeking public input on policies surrounding the shooting of moose that feed on farmers’ crops.
The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources is hosting public consultations as part of a review of the department’s Agriculture Depredation Policy.
That relates to the shooting of moose causing crop damage on farms at night.
Public consultation will seek feedback through four-in-person sessions and an online questionnaire.
In person sessions will be held February 26th in Deer Lake and on the 27th at Wooddale.
Two more sessions are planned in March in Clarenville and St. John’s at dates yet to be announced.
