Power has been restored to the James Paton Memorial Hospital, but services are expected to be disrupted over the next few days due to yesterday’s outage.
All non-urgent operations and clinical appointments have been canceled for today and tomorrow, the medical imaging unit has been closed for all routine services, and the laboratory is only seeing people with immediate needs such as those coming in for chemotherapy.
As well, there will be a limit of one visitor per patient while the outage is ongoing.
All affected patients will be contacted to reschedule appointments.
Anyone requiring emergency services may proceed to the emergency department as per usual.
Central Health would like to advise that power has been restored to the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre. We will provide further updates in the morning regarding resumption of services. All patients with appointments will be contacted to reschedule.
