High snow banks appear to be playing a role in allowing thieves access to doors and windows in the metro region.

The RNC is actively investigating a string of break and entries in the Waterford Valley area of St. John’s.

Police responded to several residential break-ins in the area between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

RNC are asking residents to ensure all doors and windows are locked and recommend that homeowners clear snowbanks around doors and near windows that are not usually accessible from the ground.
