Twillingate RCMP are investigating a string of church break-ins in the Twillingate / New World Island area.

This month alone the Salvation Army churches in Comfort Cove, Birchy Bay and Bayview, Twillingate have been struck.

The first break in took place in Birchy Bay sometime between February 10th and the 17th. Two guitars and a laptop were taken in that incident.

The next occurred in Comfort Cove sometime between Feb 19th and the 20th. A safe was taken in that incident.

The most recent occurred between Sunday and Monday of this week in Twillingate. A safe, containing cash, was taken and the food bank was also broken into causing damage to the building.
