RCMP were conducting an investigation in the area of Forbes Street in St. John’s today.
Officers descended on the area over the lunch hour.
What appeared to be unmarked vehicles and an armoured truck were stationed outside of a home in the area. A K-9 unit was also spotted exiting the house.
RCMP indicate they’ll have more to say on the matter in the coming days.
On Monday, RCMP arrested two men on charges of trafficking in cocaine following an investigation in the Curling Street area.
